Large research infrastructures at “CZEDER 2019” conference

The 17th Czech Days for European Research “CZEDER 2019” will be held on 30th – 31st October 2019. The conference is organised by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports in a close cooperation with the Technology Centre of the Czech Academy of Sciences.

The 1st conference day will facilitate debates on strengthening the participation and increasing activity of Czech research organisations and enterprises in the forthcoming 9th EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon Europe (2021-2027). Mr Renzo Tomellini, European Commission´s Directorate General for Research and Innovation, will present the concept of the 9th EU Framework Programme strategic planning and “missions”, to be introduced to the EU Framework Programme for the very first time.

A particular discussion panel will focus on research infrastructures and synergies in use of the European Structural and Investment Funds and resources of the EU Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation for building and internationalising their capacities. Mr Jan Hrušák, Chair of the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures, will deliver an opening keynote at the beginning of the session, to be followed by a panel discussion of high-level representatives of the leading large research infrastructures of the Czech Republic.

The venue of the 2nd conference day will move from the Hotel International to the premises of the Technology Centre of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the programme will focus on summarising the current participation of the Czech Republic in the Horizon 2020 – EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (2014–2020). The Czech beneficiaries´ achievements and strategies for their successful participation will be presented on this occasion.

The registration for participation in the 17th Czech Days for European Research “CZEDER 2019” has been already launched. The draft conference programme provides an indicative list of speakers, who have confirmed their attendance at the conference.


Horizon Europe – EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (2021-2027)
