European Commission plans to invest into European Supercomputers

The European Commission has presented its plans to invest € 1 billion together with the Member States by 2020 to build the European Supercomputing Infrastructure of EuroHPC. HPC has a growing impact on industries and businesses by shortening product design and production cycles (eg car production). The EuroHPC will operate in the years 2019-2026, owned and operated by members (countries that have signed the EuroHPC Declaration) and private members from academia and industry. More information on this initiative can be found here.
