The latest 2019 update of Roadmap of Large Research Infrastructures of the Czech Republic comprises the genesis of large research infrastructures´ agenda, typology of large research infrastructures of the Czech Republic, and their international cooperation and internationalisation. A special attention is paid to the large research infrastructures´ agenda development, in particular to international assessments of large research infrastructures of the Czech Republic in 2014 and 2017 and international evaluation of benefits of memberships of the Czech Republic in international R&D organisations in 2016.

The core part of the Roadmap comprises the presentation of a total of 48 large research infrastructures of the Czech Republic, which are operated in the fields of physical sciences and engineering, energy, environmental sciences, biological and medical sciences (areas of health and food), social sciences and humanities and the e-infrastructures´ domain. These 48 large research infrastructures were adopted by the Government of the Czech Republic for public funding by 2022.

Besides their basic characteristics the Roadmap places the individual facilities in the landscape of large research infrastructures and, thus, delivers a map of unique research infrastructures that are operated both in the Czech Republic and abroad with participation of the Czech Republic for the usage of broad user community on the basis of open access policy.

In 3rd quarter of 2019, the update of Roadmap of Large Research Infrastructures of the Czech Republic for the years 2016-2022 will be officially published in the Czech language and English language versions and presented to the European Commission and European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI).
