Launch of the European Open Science Cloud Portal

On 23rd November 2018 the European Open Science Cloud Portal, which is available on www.eosc-portal.eu, was launched.

The European Open Science Cloud (hereinafter referred to as the “EOSC”) was proposed by the European Commission as a part of the European Cloud Initiative in 2016 and since then it has been supported by the European Commission within projects implemented under the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 (2014-2020). In summer 2018 the EOSC Governance Model, described in detail in the European Commission´s Implementation Roadmap for the European Open Science Cloud, was established.
