Visegrad Group Ministerial Conference on 2nd – 3rd April 2020 in Prague, Czech Republic

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic – in a close cooperation with the Ministry of Innovation and Technology of Hungary; the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland; and the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic – invite you to take part in the Visegrad Group Ministerial Conference on the European Structural and Investment Funds for Higher Education, Research and Development, to be held on 2nd – 3rd April 2020 in the premises of the Lichtenstein Palace in Prague, Czech Republic.

The conference is aimed to facilitate a high-level strategy debate of the Czech, Hungarian, Polish and Slovakian policy-makers and stakeholders in the fields of higher education, research and development on the following topics, in particular:

  • European Structural and Investment Funds for higher education, research and development
    Past experiences and lessons learned, good practice examples and outlook for the upcoming EU cohesion policy period
  • Universities as drivers for highly-skilled human resources development
    Strategy development of higher education institutions
  • Science and research as drivers for technology development and innovation – capacities building
    Research infrastructures and R&D centres of excellence
  • Science and research as drivers for technology development and innovation – capabilities building
    Institutional environment of research organisations, internationalisation and international cooperation

The conference programme, which will be arranged in the premises of the Lichtenstein Palace, will be accompanied by a gala dinner in the evening of 2nd April 2020, to be hosted in the premises of the Czech Museum of Music, which is located within walking distance of the Lichtenstein Palace.

Participation in the conference is free of charge. Travel and accommodation expenses incurred on the side of participants shall be borne by participants themselves. Registration for the conference and gala dinner shall be made by 15th March 2020.
